Doy Doy Grill is more than just a food truck—it’s the flavor of a journey, built from hard work, bold flavors, and a dream shared by two people who never gave up.
Our story began in Brooklyn, where two lives crossed paths and quickly became one. Just three months after meeting, we were married and committed not only to each other but to building a future together. From day one, we took on long hours, tough jobs, and every challenge life threw our way—with one shared goal: to create something truly our own.
Before launching Doy Doy Grill, I worked as a ship captain, traveling the world and experiencing a wide range of cuisines and cultures. Cooking started as a simple necessity—just quick meals to keep pace with a demanding life. But over time, it became something deeper. Friends, family, and coworkers kept coming back for more, and I began to realize that cooking wasn’t just a skill—it was a passion, and perhaps even a gift.
After years of dedication and sacrifice, we planted roots in North Carolina and brought our dream to life with Doy Doy Grill.
In our native language, the word “Doy” means “Full.”
And that’s the heart of our mission: to serve full plates, full flavor, and full hearts with every meal. We believe great food brings people together, and every dish we make reflects our journey, our culture, and our love for feeding others.
